Iman Ridzuan

Who doesn't love a good body scrub? Like the skin on our face, our body needs a good rub to remove the dead skin cells once in a while too. I know a lot of people who don't use body scrub and it irks me thinking about the amount of dead skin cells collected on their body!

Bloomika is a newly bloomed shop that sells this Enchanted Rose body scrub that is 100% organic, vegan and cruelty free. I root! It is only made with beautiful and good natural ingredients, unlike a lot of other chemically filled products in the market.

Obviously from the title, rose is what they focus on for the base of the scrub, formulated with premium rose powder and premium rose essential oil. For the physcical exfoliator itself, they use crystal pink salt. But other than those, they also contain jojoba oil, shea butter and castor oil. Sounds amazing, right? This scrub will not dry your skin out since it has so many moisturizing ingredients, that's for sure. It sells at only RM35 and you even get a cute mini loofah for free!

This body scrub claims to :

- Remove dead skin cells thus smooths and softens the skin
-Brighten and improve skin tone
- Leave skin feeling fresh and rejuvenated
- Suitable for all skin type

First of all, let's talk packaging. The scrub comes in this dark, thick glass jar. Thank goodness! A lot of other organic products out there don't bother to use a dark container which is a bummer. This is important because organic, raw ingredients can be a lot more unstable than those in-lab formulated ingredients that has been mixed with stabilizers, therefore sun exposure can degrade the nutrients found in natural ingredients a lot faster. By having a dark glass container, it really helps to prolong the longevity of the ingredients a lot better. So I really have no complain on that matter, it's perfect.

When you open the lid, you'll see the pink scrub, with real rose petals at the surface. So cute! The rose petal is for decoration purpose, so once you go over the top layer, it is not found anymore at the bottom. But that's not what I wish to show you guys. I wish I can include a button that can provide you with the scent of the product, my my goodness it smells good! Rose is actually my favorite flower, and my favorite flowery scent when it comes to perfume. I love it.

The scent will linger a little on your body temporarily after you rinse it off, so you will smell like rose oil for a good few minutes. The scent goes away after some times. This jar may look small, but lemme tell you, a little bit goes a long way. Since the scrub is crystal salt, therefore it won't melt when it comes in contact with your wet skin, which is a huge plus. It annoys me whenever I use sugar body scrubs that they'll just melt away and don't provide any satisfying rub to my skin lol.

However, let me warn you that because it is salt, it will be a little stingy if you have open cuts or wounds on your body. So simply just avoid those areas when you're scrubbing. I actually love using this scrub for my feet. It gives a really good exfoliation for my hard heels. This feet has been walking too much in heels, so I feel super satisfied to give it a good exfoliation weekly. I also use the free mini loofah for my feet and it works perfectly.

I have been using it for almost a month now, and I still have a lot left to finish. In terms of the claims, I would say that everything is true, except I need more time to use it in order to see if it does help to brighten my skin. I do notice that my skin does get brighter after rinsing it off, but that is logically due to me getting rid of the top layer of dead skin cells and revealing the new one underneath, so I am not sure if the ingredients have any brightening benefit or it's just the scrubbing. But other than that, I will definitely continue loving and using this!

To purchase this scrub, you can find them at instagram : @bloomika.my

Actually, 118 subscribers already, as I am writing this. But thank you thank thank you very much, to each and every one of you for subscribing to my Youtube channel!

I really don't know how to thank you all enough.

I was reading back my older blog posts, and reminiscing some old moments of my earlier journey of blogging. I just have a few words to say to myself. That I am very proud of me, for where I am at, and for starting this beautiful journey that I enjoy doing, a lot.

I have been blogging ever since high school. It was not on this website though, I had like a private diary that I do not share with friends and family where I often post about my life in general. One day, my friend Izrin Shazmira showed me a video made by Michelle Phan on Youtube. It was her Barbie Makeup Tutorial. I was 14, in 2009. I immediately fall in love with beauty related stuff since then.

I remember binge watching to Michelle's video every single day, I was so addicted to her videos, be it skincare or makeup tutorials. She was basically my ultimate beauty guru (Still is!) She inspires me so much that I thought to myself at 18, that I want to have my own beauty channel one day. There were two things that hold me back. First, I did not have a camera to record myself. It was 2012 and phone cameras back then were not as advanced as now. And the second is, was me. I was just not confident enough. I was never ready. I think even if I did have a camera, my self confidence would still prevent me from starting my own channel.

Therefore, I resort to beauty blogging in 2015. My first ever post was a review on Nyx's Soft matte lip cream. You can read it by clicking here. I just love sharing beauty reviews, tips and tricks. I help my friends as much as I can when they ask me about skincare and makeup. Whenever I am curious about some new beauty trends and products, I'll just search them up on other blogger websites, and Youtube. More on Youtube. If you see my subscription list of beauty gurus on Youtube, you might be shocked. I am subscribed to over 150 channels lolll. I have my favourites, of course, which you can read about here :

My Favourite Beauty Vloggers

Blogging is fun! It takes a lot of effort, I am not gonna lie. You're not just blogging. You're a writer, proof reader, a photographer, photo editor, website designer and so many other behind the scene works that you don't see. This is why some people can make blogging as their full time career. It IS a career. It has been 5 years of blogging, and I am so proud of all the opportunities that I got for being a writer. I got to be Zalora's magazine editor for a while, tho I quite as I could not keep up with the commitment as a full time student. Attend beauty events, participate in blogging competitions and stuff. My website may not be as popular as others, but I am just proud of my small community. Thank you so much to my readers and followers.

8 years after 2012 I still did not have a camera. When my old phone broke down, I purposely chose iphone 7plus for my new phone because of the camera quality. It is a pain in the pocket sure, but I thought, this is it. It is now or never. I cannot afford a new phone AND a new camera together, so I better pick up a phone with great camera quality for video recording. Furthermore, now that I am paying so much for the phone, I cannot have any excuse to not record a video and make full use of the phone. I ignored my lack of confidence, my flawed skin, and pushed that record button.

January 2019, New year new me! To start a Youtube channel was one of my new year resolutions, but if you read my blog post about my resolution, you'll not see it there. I was afraid to tell you guys ahaha. But here I am! My first ever video, was the shawl tutorial. Click here if you want to read about it, or just watch it down below. I thought it would be the perfect video to start with as I do not have to talk. You can barely see me smile there because I was so shy hahaha.

But you all made it possible, Your warm comments, video requests, and subscriptions makes me enjoy doing what I have started. It was my biggest fear but I pulled through. You guys helped me through. Imagine contemplating about doing a thing and finally did it after 8 years?! THANK YOU. I thought it would take at least a year to reach 118 subscribers, but we're not even mid year yet! 118 may not seem much to you compared to other successful youtubers, but to think that 118 people out there are watching me, and want to actually see my future contents? That makes me so happy. It makes me want to do better and put out more quality contents for you guys. So seriously, thank you, terima kasih, xie xie, nandri, gracias, kamsahamnida!

And if you haven't yet, do subscribe! Pretty pleaseeeeee ;D Click HERE!

I have been wanting to try out these lenses ever since I watched a video from a vlogger on YouTube, it looked so perfect and beautiful on her. I then searched high and low for it, on instagram shopee, but it was so hard to find it. Then I finally found them on 11street and ordered it straight away.

The order took about 2 weeks to arrive, which is not so bad considering that they are shipped from korea. I ordered two pairs, grey and Brown. The have a range of power selection, and mine is 2.50. Yes, I am a short sighted person if you don't know yet haha.

They packaged everything very nicely, unlike a lot of other online lenses shop that I've dealt with before. The box is a bit huge for two pairs but I am not complaining, it feels fancy hahaha. Inside, they give you a pamphlet about the lenses and some of their others from the company. And you also get a free lens case that comes with a mirror and lens tweezer, whatever you call it.

The lens is good for a month, which some people may think that it is a little bit expensive (RM 48 per pair), considering you can get a lens that expires after 3 months for cheaper price. But as for me, I prefer to buy a one month lens. I'd rather pay more than having an eye infection for wearing the same lens for 3 months.

BLOSSOM BROWN

*I forgot to take the picture of the lens itself before disposing hehehehe sorry*

Brown (indoor lighting)
Brown (outdoor lighting)

This is a 14.0 diameter lens, and it just a slight bigger than my actual iris, so it still look pretty natural. I always hate those doll-like lenses that makes your eyes appear so big, they are scary for me lol.

As for the design itself, I really love the grey one! Eventhough the brown ones are supposed to be more natural looking than the grey one, I just don't find myself to really fond of the brown. I think they make my eyes unnaturally larger in person, even though it looks fine in pictures. But for the grey one, it just looks acceptably not too fake. I can't say that it looks natural because which malay have grey eyes, hahahaha but yeah, it doesn't look too fake on me. The color is not too light and is especially beautiful in person.

In terms of the comfort level, I would say it is an average. I have tried a lot of colored contact lenses, but these pairs are no different than the average ones. I still prefer colorless contact lenses for more comfort. I don't know, my eyes get really dry after about 4 hours, and even when I use eye drops, it doesn't help much to revive my tired eyes. Sometimes my eyes will get very dry and tired to the point that it gives me a headache, and the first thing that I want to do once I get home is to take off the lenses. But that's how my eyes are in general, they get dry easily with any contact lenses. If you don't have similar problem like me, maybe you will like these.

Overall, I might purchase the grey one, but not the brown ones, and for the sake of beauty. Not so much for the comfort. If you want to buy from where I did, click the link down below. Otherwise, have a good day!

Ola! I just published a video on my youtube channel on my go to makeup routine. This is a look that I will put on when I go out for lunch with my friends, boyfriend, often basically when I don't feel like experimenting with new look. It is super easy to recreate, and you really don't need to buy the exact same products that I use.

I feel like the shade orange, coral, peach, compliment my skin the most. I have mainly orange shade lipsticks in my lip collection and I mainly go for peachy blushers every single day. Hence, why I named this look an orange makeup.

You probably won't see the orangeness too much in the video, but trust me in real life, it is there. I am not gonna put extra shadows just for the camera because I prefer a more natural look on me. I like it.

That explains the no extra coverage or color correction on my blemishes and imperfections on my base because I sometimes prefer to flaunt my flaws to feel more human, and especially for Malaysian's weather, you really don't want to cake your face with tons of products. So I am really sorry if you're expecting a perfect makeup look with a flawless finish hehe.

Please like and subscribe if you haven't, it will mean so much to me ♥ Enjoy the video!

Hello there my beautiful readers!

I have always preferred shawls over bawals for their versatility, and I often got tons of questions from strangers on instagram and from friends in real life on how I style my shawl. Now since my friends and family members have been pushing me to create a youtube channel, I present you, my first youtube video! I figured a shawl tutorial would be a perfect content to start with.

Now these 3 shawl styles are my go to for classes and outings. The first picture is probably my most favourite one, and you might notice that if you scroll over my instagram pictures. Because it is so easy and literally take seconds lol. It takes a longer time in my video because I am not used to be so far apart from the mirror hahaha.

I had fun creating this video although the process of getting it done (shooting, editing, rendering) takes forever! Hats off to all youtubers, it is really a hard work. This video takes me a whole day to finish! And I am still learning on especially editing. I would say that I am a pro with editing photos, but videos are a whole another story lol. Self teaching and learning will take a long time, but I'll try! Pray for me on this new journey! I hope to create quality contents for you guys in the future, and if you have any suggestions and requests, feel free to comment. Now grab your popcorn and enjoy!

Help your homegirl please, like and subscribe to my new channel hihi. Love you all <3
